Layers with Gastrioceras lupinum correspond to the upper part of the GastriocerasBranneroceras Genozone, upper part of the communis Zone and lower modiolaris Subzone (late Langsettian) of the Western Europe and the uppermost part of the Neuralethopteris jongmansii and lower half of the Laveineopteris loshii macrofloristic subzones of Western Europe.
