Re-description for the venation ( Fig. 14F View FIGURE 14 ): forewing with R 1 arising from before middle of cell, nearly straight from base; distance between R 1 and R 2 at base about twice length of R 2 and R 3; R 3 stalked with R 4+5 for about basal 1/3; R 4 and R 5 stalked for about 2/3; R 5 to termen; M 1 remote from R 3+4 at base; M 2 much closer to M 3 than M 1, nearly parallel to M 1; M 3 free, arising from near lower corner of cell; CuA 1 and CuA 2 coincident; 1A+2A not forked at base; cell closed. Hind wing with M 3 merged with CuA 1; cell closed. Abdomen ( Fig. 14E View FIGURE 14 ) with narrow, banded spinose zones along posterior margin on segments II to VII; abdominal segment VIII simple, without specifically modified sclerites or hair pencils.

Remarks. Viette ([1957]) considered possible affinities of this species with Lecithocera sceptrarcha Meyrick, 1920 , which is known from Kenya, but L. sceptrarcha belongs to the subfamily Lecithocerinae .

Distribution. Madagascar (Central region) (Viette, [1957]) and eastern region.
