Nemoura perforata Li & Yang View in CoL , sp. nov.

(Figs. 16–20)

Diagnosis. Epiproct with crescent formation which consists of a pair of darkly sclerotized curved strips. Paraproct mostly sclerotized with membranous basal hollow, curved upward distally with several black spines. Cercus sclerotized with elliptical membranous area at tip.

Male. Forewing length 6.2 mm, hindwing length 5.4 mm. Head and compound eyes dark; antennae and mouthparts brownish yellow. Thorax brown. Wings hyaline. Legs yellow except femora brown. Abdomen darkish brown with pale hairs.

Terminalia (Figs. 16–20): Tergum nine weakly sclerotized and constricted medially. Sternum nine with claviform vesicle fringed with black hairs in proximal half; hypoproct wide basally, distinctly tapering toward small tip. Tergum 10 weakly sclerotized anteriorly, more heavily sclerotized posteromedially, with a large median concavity bearing several black spines along anteromedial margin. Cercus sclerotized with elliptical membranous area at tip, strongly enlarged and thickened medially. Epiproct with crescent formation which consists of a pair of darkly sclerotized, curved bands, with ventral sclerite expanded ventrally, and having several tiny black spines ventrally. Ventral sclerite extending beyond dorsal sclerite as two dark bars curved downward apically. Paraproct suboval, sclerotized, distal flap recurved dorsad with several black spines on tip, a membranous basal hollow present.

Female. Unknown.

Type Material. Holotype. male, CHINA: Guangxi, Maoershan National Nature Reserve, Tongrencun, 2004. V. 2, Y. Xu.

Distribution. China (Guangxi).

Etymology. The specific name refers to several membranous rounded areas on the cerci and paraproct.

Remarks. The new species is related to N. grandicauda Wu from Sichuan by the enlarged cerci, but may be separated from the latter by the broad paraproct curved upward distally with several black spines and several membranous rounded areas of the cerci and paraproct. In grandicauda , the paraproct consists of two slender transverse bands, and the epiproct has the slim and bent flagellum ( Wu 1973).
