Holotype. ♀ USA: Michigan: Arenac Co.: 30 May 1951, R.R. Dreisbach ( NMNH: 75168). Stylopized. Synonymy by LaBerge (1973).

Notes. A common spring-flying species and a frequent visitor of tart cherry orchards ( Gibbs et al. 2017).
