Andrena crataegi is one of the most abundant wild bees in apple and cherry orchards in Michigan ( Gibbs et al. 2017), but the relatively late flight season of females, better matching the bloom of hawthorne, may reduce its value in some areas ( Gardner & Ascher 2006).
