Type material examined. HOLOTYPE: female, ‘S. India, Nilgiri Hills (Hampson) (Distant coll.)’ (coll. Natural History Museum, London).

Redescription. Colouration. Head, antennae, rostrum, callar lobe, pronotal lobe (except lateral projections), scutellum (except roundish spot apically), hemelytra (except large roundish spot on each corium), sternum, legs, tergites, and ventrites (except yellow spots) black. Lateral projections of pronotal lobe, posterior pleural flange I, roundish spot near scutellar apex, corial spots, ventrites III-V medially (spot on ventrite IV triangular), and ventrites II-IV laterally (including laterotergites; lateral spots coalescent) yellow. Large spot on each corium medially rounded, not reaching inner corial margin, laterally widest and truncated by outer corial margin.

Structure. Frons strongly gibbous. Antennae relatively stout, antennomere 3 distinctly thickened, much thicker than antennomere 2. Rostrum nearly reaching posterior margin of ventrite III, first rostral segment surpassing prosternal collar. Callar lobe somewhat narrowing towards base; pronotal lobe very short, strongly projected laterally and elevated dorsally. Outer margin of hemelytra arcuate, corium widening towards apex, both hemelytra apically accordingly truncated, straight, nearly reaching posterior margin of mesotergite III.

Measurements. Female (holotype). Body length 6.26 mm. Head: width (including eyes)— 1.55 mm, interocular width— 0.94 mm, length— 1.08 mm; antenna: lengths of antennomeres 1— 0.76 mm, 2— 1.03 mm, 3— 0.81 mm, 4— 1.19 mm; pronotum: total length— 1.08 mm, collar length— 0.11 mm, callar lobe: length— 0.70 mm, width (including mar- gins)— 1.35 mm, pronotal lobe: length— 0.40 mm, width— 1.35 mm; scutellum: length— 0.70 mm, width— 0.59 mm; corium: length— 1.89 mm, width— 1.17 mm; abdomen: width— 2.24 mm, width between laterotergites— 1.89 mm.

Distribution. South India (Tamil Nadu) ( Blöte 1933).
