Diagnosis. As for genus, as it is the only included species.

Description. Complete adult in lateral aspect with forewings preserved over body. Body stout; length about 20.4 mm. Antennae length about 1.6 mm; scape thick; pedicel slightly thinner and longer than scape; flagellum aristiform, with segments invisible. Compound eyes large, semi-circular, close to postclypeus. Ocelli invisible. Postclypeus swollen, extremely convex, ornamented with distinct transverse grooves (muscle attachments). Pronotum exceedingly expanded and concealing mesonotum, with anterior one-third tiny granular protuberances and posterior area transversely rugose; length about 7.4 mm, width about 3.2 mm; anterior margin slightly concave, lateral and posterior margin somewhat straight. Legs partly preserved, with distinct ridges; fore femur and tibia thick; hind tibia slender and long.

Tegmen short, nearly trapezoid; length about 16.9 mm, width about 8.8 mm. Costal area slightly damaged, well-developed, very long; length about 10.8 mm. Clavus arched, large and broad; width about 3.1 mm. Prenodal area about 11.1 mm long. Postnodal area ornamented with some ruffles, very short; length about 5.8 mm. Nodal line wide but not well-defined. Nodus greatly distinct at basal 0.66 wing length. Marginal membrane very narrow, but visible.

Vein ScP fused with R+M at wing base, branching from vein ScP + R at nodal line, and terminating at nodus. Stem R+M about 3.5 mm long, branching at basal 0.21 wing length. Stem R about 1.7 mm long, branching into RA and RP at basal 0.28 wing length. Stem RA slightly curved, bifurcated at basal 0.71 wing length; branch RA1 simple, almost straight; branch RA2 curved at crossvein r. Vein RP single, strongly curved at nodal line, recurved at crossvein r-m, and then running parallel to RA2. Vein M fused with CuA for a distance about 0.1 wing length, bifurcated into M1+2 and M3+4 at basal 0.48 wing length. Vein M1+2 slightly curved just beyond nodal line, and then bifurcated; branches M1 and M2 curved at crossveins, and then parallel to RP. Vein M3+4 slightly curved at nodal line, bifurcating into M3 and M4 at the same level of fork of M1+2. M3 connected with M2 with crossvein m. Vein CuA forming a short stalk with M at basal 0.22 wing length, separating out at basal 0.29 wing length, branching into CuA1 and CuA2 just beyond nodal line; branch CuA1 curved at crossvein m-cua and recurved near wing margin; branch CuA2 long and sinuous. Vein CuP straight, ending at nodal line. Vein Pcu strong at wing base, ending at near midpoint of tegmen. Vein A1 partly preserved, weak, longitudinal.

Etymology. The species is named after Prof. Xiaoting Zheng, who is the curator of Shandong Tianyu Museum of Nature.

Holotype. STMN 48-1037. Housed in Shandong Tianyu Museum of Nature.

Age and locality. Middle Jurassic; Daohugou Village, Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, China.
