Etymology: From the Latin nasus , nose, referring to the shape of the accessory lobe of inferior volsella.

Male (n = 1)

Total length 2.21 mm. Wing length 1.22 mm. Total length/wing length 1.81. Wing length/length of profemur 2.39. Coloration blackish brown.

Head. Antennae with 13 flagellomeres, AR 1.06, ultimate flagellomere length 384; subapical setae length 30. Temporal setae 11, divided in 6 inner verticals, 3 outer verticals and 2 postoculars. Clypeus with 9 setae. Tentorium 128 long, 22 wide. Stipes 114 long. Palp segment lengths: 26; 44; 116; 100; 122. Third palpomere without finger-like apical extension, without sensilla clavata.

Thorax. Antepronotum with 3 lateral setae. Dorsocentrals 28; acrostichals starting close to antepronotum, 12; supralars 1; prealars 11. Scutellum with 8 setae.

Wing ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Without microtrichia. VR 1.28. C extension 120. Brachiolum with 2 seta; R with 15; R 1 with 9; R 4+5 with 16. Squama with 7 setae. Anal lobe reduced.

Legs. Spur of front tibia 44 long; spurs of middle tibia 22 and 24 long; of hind tibia: 48, longest spur lost. Width at apex of front tibia 30; of middle tibia 32; of hind tibia 40. Comb with 12 setae. Pseudospurs absent. Lengths and proportions of legs in Table 3 View TABLE 3 .

Hypopygium ( Figs. 4E–F View FIGURE 4 ). Anal point bluntly isosceles triangle-shaped, pointed at the end, and hyaline, 32 long. Tergum IX with 33 setae, laterosternite IX with 7 setae. Phallapodeme 34 long; transverse sternapodeme 80 long. Virga 16 long. Gonocoxite 152 long, inferior volsella rounded; ending at 62 from apex of gonocoxite; ratio “inferior volsella ending from apex of gonocoxite/length of gonocoxite” 0.41. Gonostylus 78 long; crista dorsalis well developed; megaseta 8 long. HR 1.95; HV 2.83.
