( Figs. 10A, 10B View FIGURE 10 , 45 View FIGURE 45 )

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. (S.) hirticlavata sp. nov. in the face mostly yellow, black near lower margin, but can be distinguished from the latter by having the first flagellomere yellow on basal 2/3, black on distal 1/3 ( Fig. 10B View FIGURE 10 ); the facial carina present; the pregonite small, with 7 or 8 sensilla, lacking long pubescence distally ( Fig. 45B, C View FIGURE 45 ); the aedeagus with 1 pair of sclerotized and 1 pair of membranous lobe-shaped processes ( Fig. 45B, C View FIGURE 45 ).

Description. Male: Clypeus and palpus yellow. Mesonotum and scutellum yellow ( Fig. 10A View FIGURE 10 ). Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. 10B View FIGURE 10 ). Halter mostly grey ( Fig. 10B View FIGURE 10 ). Fore femur with 3 strong setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites yellow ( Fig. 10A, B View FIGURE 10 ); sternites yellow, about 2 times as wide as long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 45 View FIGURE 45 ): Epandrium with 11 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 45A View FIGURE 45 ). Surstylus with some setulae near distal margin, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 45A View FIGURE 45 ). Cercus with much pubescence ( Fig. 45A View FIGURE 45 ). Hypandrium slightly expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 45B, C View FIGURE 45 ). Aedeagal sheath acute apically, with 1 pair of acute processes subapically ( Fig. 45D, E View FIGURE 45 ). Subepandrial sclerite broadened, slightly expanded distally ( Fig. 45F View FIGURE 45 ).
