Distribution. This is a common species widely distributed over the whole of Africa and reaching through the Near East and the Arabian Peninsula to southwest Asia and the Indian Peninsula ( SCHÖDL 1994, HEBAUER 1997, HANSEN 1999). Previously recorded from Socotra Island by WRANIK (2003).
