Etymology. Named for the total number of spines below the meso- and metafemora: four.

Description. Largely brown in coloration, with dark brown punctures, waxy hairs situated in punctures. Head dark reddish brown, eyes dark brown to black, ocelli reddish, area around ocelli and tip of tylus blackish brown. Antennal yellowish brown with apical 1/2 to 1/3 of segment IV darker ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 c). Labium yellowish brown to blackish brown with apical segment darker and reaching to posterior margin of hind coxae. Pronotum brown to dark brown, trapezoidal, strongly declivent anteriorly. Cicatrical impressions blackish brown, collar and hind margin of pronotum blackish brown; median longitudinal line palish; area anterior to cicatrices with shallow punctures, and posterior area apparently with regular coarse punctures. Scutellum black with white lateral waxy filaments at base, punctured and distally grooved. Clavus, inner corner and apical area of corium black. Membrane transparent with obscure brown stripes along veins. Thoracic pleura with white waxy filaments; posterior margin of propleuron yellowish brown contrasting with blackish brown anterior margin of mesopleuron. Dark brown narrow rings around distal 1/3 of femora and proximal 1/3 of tibiae; distal third of meso- and metafemora each armed below with an acute spine, but fore femora mutic (sometimes with a very small tuber) ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 c). Abdominal sterna polished and glossy, reddish brown, punctuate, and waxy hairs are usually implanted in elevated sockets.

Pygophore ovoid from dorsal view, opening Ω-shaped (Fig. 4f). Median projection broad, pointed apically; lateral lobes triangular, pointed medially. Middle part of paramere not twisted; proximal part of blade much broader than shank; blade of paramere tapering distally and with rounded apex; outer projection of paramere subquadrate ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 b). Phallus: with helicoid process; two pairs of sclerites on both sides of ejaculatory reservoir; arcuate extension of ejaculatory reservoir apple-like, proximal part broader than distal part; wing sclerites of ejaculatory reservoir broad, proximal part evidently broader than distal part ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 a). Bulb of spermatheca with pointed tip, both proximal and distal flanges wide; spermathecal duct long coiled, middle part of duct slightly swollen ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 c).

Measurements (mm): Body length 2.35 (2.23–2.35); head length 0.49 (0.43–0.51), width across eyes 0.86 (0.85–0.89); interocular distance 0.57 (0.52–0.58); interocellar distance 0.17 (0.16–0.18); antennal segments length 0.26 (0.25–0.26): 0.45 (0.43–0.45): 0.31(0.31–0.33): 0.45 (0.43–0.46); labial segments length 0.29 (0.29–0.33): 0.19 (0.18–0.19): 0.17 (0.17–0.18): 0.30 (0.28–0.30); pronotum length 0.75 (0.73– 0.75), anterior margin width 0.66 (0.55–0.66), hind margin width 1.05 (0.95–1.05); scutellum length 0.39 (0.33–0.39), width 0.49 (0.48–0.50); distance apex clavus–apex corium 0.44 (0.40–0.44); distance apex corium–apex membrane 0.74 (0.70–0.76). The first measurement represents the holotype, followed by the range in parentheses.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to C. zhengi Xue et Bu , but can be recognized by the body being smaller (body length 2.55 mm in C. zhengi ); distal 1/3 of femora and proximal 1/3 of tibiae each with a narrow dark brown ring, rather than distal 2/3 of femora, and the proximal 1/2 of tibiae dark brown ( C. zhengi Xue et Bu ); paramere not twisted; spermatheca with coiled rather than uncoiled duct ( C. zhengi Xue et Bu ). The new species also is different from C. horizontalis Zheng in: mesofemur armed below with an acute spine; 2nd and 4th antennal segments subequal rather than longer than 4th in C. horizontalis Zheng ; blade of paramere tapering distally and outer projection quadrate; wing sclerites of ejaculatory reservoir broad, arcuate extension of ejaculatory reservoir proximal part broader than distal part.

From the new species, C. bisontula may be readily distinguished by its body being smaller; with concolorous punctures; all femora beneath mutic; eye stalk of adult not strongly produced; wing sclerite of ejaculatory reservoir broad, cingulum-like.
