Lipurometriocnemus: Saether (1982) View in CoL ; Cranston et al.(1989); Andersen et al. (2016).
Type species: Lipurometriocnemus glabalus Saether, 1981 .
Described by Saether (1981) and complemented by Saether (1982) the concept of the genus was recently redefined by Andersen et al. (2016). With the inclusion of L. bogotensis n. sp. the diagnosis of the genus must be emended to include species with no acrosticals setae on thorax: “Acrostichals strong to weak (or sometimes absent), beginning near antepronotum”.
