TYPE: Female holotype taken in pitfall trap at an elevation of 5050 ft at Cerro Lagila, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia (Apr. 15–30, 1975; J. Kochalka), deposited in AMNH (PBI_OON 37107) .
ETYMOLOGY: The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
DIAGNOSIS: Females have the atrium largely filled by the triangular base of the anterior genitalic process (figs. 858–860).
MALE: Unknown.
FEMALE (PBI_OON 37107, figs. 853– 860): Total length 1.91. Elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate. Chilum small, triangular. Sternum surface finely reticulate. Postepigastric scutum only around epigastric furrow. Leg spination: femora I, II p0-0-2, r0-1-1; tibiae: I v4-4-2, II v4-4-0; metatarsi: I v2-2-2, II v2-2- 1p. Both anterior and posterior margins of atrium rebordered; atrium triangular, containing wide triangular sclerotization; anterior genitalic process strongly sclerotized as base; apodemes oriented obliquely.

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in northern Colombia.
