‘ Perrona’ groups
We unite here species, which tend to have smooth mid- and later whorls, devoid of axial sculpture, which at most consists of coarse tubercles on the subsutural collar. The shoulder of these species is poorly delimited and broadly rounded and the base usually lacks a distinct peribasal cord, which separates these species from Clavatula -like species groups. Striopusionella is a misfit in this group due to its marked spiral sculpture, but is discussed here due to its Pusionella -like anal sinus. This group is based on similar morphologies, however, we do not imply that these species form a monophyletic unit.
