The eggs of this species bear some resemblance to those of the undescribed ennomine (MW1) in the following features: egg only marked on anterior pole by aeropyles outlining flat hexagonal cells; elevated, domed aeropyles with moderately large aeropyles; generally smooth chorion. This featureless chorion is also characteristic of the Australian larentiine Chrysolarentia Butler (see below) and also the Nearctic larentiine Eupithecia Curtis. There are seven species in this genus and the type species is described here.
