Shape: Broad, subelliptical; anterior pole truncated; polar profile subcircular; flattened dorsoventrally (Figs 196 & 197).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by flat, hexagonal cells, with narrow, recessed walls, but barely discernible apart from on, near anterior pole (Figs 194, 196, 197 & 198). Cell form only marked by aeropyles on anterior polar (Figs 194–198), micropylar cells marked by narrow, recessed cell walls (Fig. 195). Aeropyles elevated, openings large, present only on anterior pole (Figs 194–198). Chorion generally smooth, wrinkled, granulated on anterior pole (Figs 198 & 199).
