Shape: Broad, bluntly ovoid, anterior pole truncated, wider than posterior pole, slightly angled to horizontal axis, polar profile subcircular, dorsoventrally flattened; wide, thick for genus, subcylindrical (Figs 276, 277, 279 & 280).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces with hexagonal cells (Figs 277, 279–282). Cell walls narrow, recessed, floors convex in cells on and adjacent to narrow lateral sides and cells surrounding micropylar area (Figs 277, 279–282); cell walls moderately wide, cell form broadly rounded, cell floors concave in middle of top of egg (Fig. 283); micropylar cell walls narrow, shallowly reticulated (Fig. 278). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small (Figs 281 & 282), present on all surfaces except middle of top of egg (Fig 283). Micropyles slightly offcentred; micropylar area recessed (Fig. 277). Chorion shallowly wrinkled (Figs 281–283).
