Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, posterior pole subacute; anterior pole truncated; polar profile circular; wedged shape in profile; anterior pole slightly angled to horizontal axis (Figs 356 & 359).
Characteristics: Chorion tough. Egg marked on all surfaces except narrow lateral sides by slightly convex hexagonal cells (Figs 359–361); cell walls narrow, recessed (Fig. 360); cells slightly concave, walls slightly elevated on lateral sides (Fig. 361). micropylar cell walls narrow, slightly elevated, primary, secondary, cells recessed (Figs 357, 358). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings very small (Figs 361 & 362), present on all surfaces apart from middle of top of egg. Chorion rough, wrinkled (Figs 361 & 362).
