Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid; anterior pole truncated; polar profile circular (Figs 72, 73, 75 & 76).

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by flat, sub­quadrate cells, regularly arranged in longitudinal rows (Figs 73, 75 & 76). Cell form only marked by aeropyles (Figs 73, 75–78), except anterior polar, micropylar cells marked also by narrow, slightly elevated cell walls (Figs 73 & 74). Aeropyles slightly elevated, domed, openings small (Figs 77 & 78), present on all surfaces apart from middle of top of egg (Fig. 75). Chorion rough, blistered, heavily ridged (Figs 77–79).
