Basiliola beecheri ( Dall, 1895) View in CoL

( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3. A – C D, E)

Basiliola beecheri View in CoL is one of five rhynchonellides in the investigated material. Species of Rhynchonellida View in CoL are characterized by a very simple brachial skeleton in the form of two short processes or crura. The presence of B. beecheri View in CoL on the Norfolk Ridge was already noted by Laurin (1997) and Zezina (2005). It was found on 10 seamounts ( Tables 1, 2) with a depth range of 266–1000 m ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 ). Basiliola beecheri View in CoL was originally described from Hawaii ( Dall 1895; Cooper 1959; Zezina 1981b) but has also been recorded from New Caledonia and Fiji ( Laurin 1997; Bitner 2006b, 2008).
