Xyleborus corpulentus Eggers, 1930: 198 .

Distribution: India, Nepal, Thailand. New to Taiwan. There are unpublished records from Laos (RAB). [3] New records: Ilan, Fu Shan Botanical Garden, 700m, at light, 25-27.ix.2000 (L. Papp, L. Ronkay, L. Peregovitz) (1): Nantou, Hui Son, 18.vi.2005 (L. Y. Liu) (2); Neimoupu, 16.xi.2004 (C. S. Lin) (1).

Hosts: Recorded from seven genera in six families ( Maiti & Saha 2004).

Biology: Hulcr and Cognato (2009) found the species to be associated with Hadrodemius globus (Blandford) in Thailand. Like other species of Diuncus , it is thought to be a fungal parasite of other ambrosia beetles ( Hulcr & Cognato 2009).
