Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman (Schmid-Egger, unpublished), Saudi Arabia ( Abu Zoherah et al. 1993 as Salius vindex ), Yemen ( Kohl 1906 as Salius (Hemipepsis) extraneus Kirby, 1900 ; Wahis 2000a).

Extralimital distribution: Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe ( Arnold 1932; Guiglia 1955).
