Afrotropical: 1) South Africa, 2) Zimbabwe ( Norval 1985 b, Walker et al. 2000, Horak et al. 2018).

Walker et al. (2000) found that records of Rhipicephalus arnoldi from South Sudan (named as Sudan) in Hoogstraal (1956a) are incorrect, but these records are still listed in ElGhali & Hassan (2012). Farooqi et al. (2017) allegedly found Rhipicephalus arnoldi in Pakistan, but this is likely a misidentification.
