Afrotropical: 1) Niger (south); Palearctic: 1) Algeria, 2) Chad (north), 3) Niger (north), 4) Tunisia ( Keirans 1985 b, Walker et al. 2000, and Morel 2003 under the name Pterygodes fulvus ).

Algeria was not included within the geographic distribution of this tick by Kolonin (2009), but Keirans (1985b) discussed a record from that country, and figure 71 in Walker et al. (2000) depicts Rhipicephalus fulvus from Algeria.
