Oriental: 1) Bangladesh, 2) India ( Rahman & Mondal 1985, Geevarghese & Mishra 2011).

Several records of Haemaphysalis kinneari have been published under the name Haemaphysalis papuana kinneari .

Keirans (1985b, page 1404) recorded a male of Haemaphysalis kinneari allegedly collected in Myanmar, but this appears to be a typographical error because the specimen was apparently sent by a person working in Africa.
