Neotropical: 1) Argentina, 2) Bolivia, 3) Chile, 4) Peru ( Muñoz-Leal et al. 2014, Guglielmone et al. 2021).

The description of Amblyomma parvitarsum in Voltzit (2007) is not helpful in diagnosing this species.

Becker et al. (1997) collected an Amblyomma parvitarsum female from a penguin caught in southern Brazil, but this tick is not thought to be established in that country.
