Diagnosis. Dima arndti is 11.8–14.3 mm long, moderately shiny with pronotum densely punctate ( Fig. 119 View FIGURES 119 – 130 ) with short decumbent pubescence, longer only at hind angles, and elytra shiny, covered with sparse short pubescence ( Figs 1–4 View FIGURES 1 – 14 ). It differs from the similar D. parnonensis Schimmel & Platia, 2008 ( Figs 81–84 View FIGURES 75 – 89 ) in having a less shiny body, relatively wider pronotum, widest at 2/3, with sides abruptly constricted before posterior angles (pronotum widest after middle, with sides almost evenly rounded in D. parnonensis ; Figs 119 View FIGURES 119 – 130 , 149 View FIGURES 143 – 154 ), and the apical lobe of paramera elongate, with inner apical part of paramera almost straight (the apical lobe of paramera shorter, more robust, with inner apical part more curved in D. parnonensis ; Figs 172–173 View FIGURES 172 – 181 , 204–205 View FIGURES 202 – 211 ). The sclerotized spines of bursa copulatrix as in Fig. 222 View FIGURES 222 – 233 .

Intraspecific variability. Body coloration is variable, dark brown to light brown ( Figs 1–4 View FIGURES 1 – 14 ).

Distribution. Greece (Peloponnese: Taygetos Mts.; Fig. 246 View FIGURE 246 ).

Remark. There is a single male specimen of Dima sp. collected in Crete ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 14 ), with the following data: "Crete [Kreta Is.], Theriso, VI.1985, 1 ♂, Dr. P. Schurmann leg." (as D. hladilorum Schimmel, 1987 in Schimmel & Platia 2008 ) (PCGP). This specimen is morphologically like D. arndti and D. parnonensis from the Peloponnese, but it has shorter antennae surpassing the posterior angles of pronotum by about three antennomeres, thicker antennal segments, longer pronotum, more emarginate basal part of scutellum, and the inner apical part of paramera only slightly curved ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 1 – 14 , 174 View FIGURES 172 – 181 ). This 30-year-old record must be confirmed by new material in Crete, and more specimens are needed for further investigation. Therefore, we herein refrain from making any taxonomic conclusions.
