Record from Thailand. South-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Habitat and depth range. Marine, depth: 45–61 m ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002) .

Distribution. This species is collected from Andaman Sea ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Remarks. According to Fukuoka & Murano (2002), specimens of Pleurerythrops sp. are all females, so that correct generic placement cannot be determined. These specimens are placed in the genus Pleurerythrops based on a dorsoventrally depressed body, although this species differs distinctly from other Pleurerythrops species in having a telson shorter than broad.
