Type locality. Red Sea ( Colosi 1934).
Record from Thailand. South-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).
Habitat and depth range. Marine, depth: 60–83 m ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002) .
Distribution. This species is distributed from the Red Sea ( Colosi 1934; Coifmann 1937a) to the Andaman Sea ( Fukuoka & Murano 2002).
Remarks. This species is resembles P. microps , however, P. macrops has longer antennal scales and larger eyes compared to P. microps ( Colosi 1934) .
