Etymology. The specific name refers to the “Conduri” people, original inhabitants of the Juruti area and most of the Lower Amazonas region; noun in apposition.
Diagnosis. Males of M. conduri sp. nov. resemble those of M. manaos sp. nov. ( Figs 187–190 View FIGURES 184–190 ) by the palp with tibia bearing a small triangular retrodorsal projection. They are distinguished from the latter species by the RTA roughly S-shaped (best seen in ventral view) and embolus with short laminar subdistal projection ( Figs 139, 141 View FIGURES 138–144 ) (RTA triangular and embolus lacking subdistal projection in M. manaos spec. nov.). Females resemble those of M. trinitatis comb. nov. ( Figs 269–274 View FIGURES 269–274 ) by the epigyne with MS roughly hexagonal. They are distinguished from the latter species by the MS with similar length sides and EP opening slightly anterior to posterior margin of MS ( Fig. 142 View FIGURES 138–144 ) and vulva with GP arising from ducts at first turn and SP spherical with smooth margins ( Fig. 143 View FIGURES 138–144 ) (anterior side shorter, EP opening at posterior margin, GP arising from ducts close to SP, not at first turn and SP irregular shaped with convoluted margins in M. trinitatis comb. nov.).
Description. Male (holotype): Total length 14.8. Prosoma 6.5 long, 6.1 wide. Opisthosoma 8.2 long, 4.9 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.47, 0.41, 0.30, 0.39; interdistances: 0.30, 0.12, 0.53, 0.60, 0.35, 0.20. Legs: I: 36.3 (10.0, 3.6, 9.7, 10.5, 2.5); II: 38.2 (10.3, 3.6, 10.7, 11.0, 2.6); III: 27.0 (8.4, 2.7, 6.9, 7.1, 1.9); IV: 30.6 (9.2, 2.7, 7.9, 8.7, 2.1). Spination follows the generic pattern except patella IV: p1, r1; metatarsus IV: r1-1-2. Palp: PTA triangular, distally rounded, slightly wider than long; subtegulum visible between 9 and 11 o’clock in ventral view; conductor widest at base, distally fanned; embolus slightly depressed prolaterally, with large membranous region ( Fig. 100 View FIGURES 99–102 , 138–141 View FIGURES 138–144 , 145–147 View FIGURES 145–149 ).
Female (UFMG 9956, paratype): Total length 13.9. Prosoma 6.0 long, 5.4 wide. Opisthosoma 7.5 long, 4.8 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.44, 0.39, 0.30, 0.34; interdistances: 0.30, 0.22, 0.60, 0.60, 0.35, 0.22. Legs: I: 24.9 (7.2, 3.0, 6.2, 6.6, 1.9); II: 26.5 (7.8, 3.0, 6.9, 6.9, 1.9); III: 19.0 (6.0, 2.2, 4.6, 4.7, 1.5); IV: 6.9, 2.2, 5.3, 5.2, 1.7). Spination follows the generic pattern except patellae I–III: p1. Epigyne: EF as wide as long; MAB conspicuous, partly embedded in EF; EP triangular, as wide as long; LL touching posteriorly ( Figs 142 View FIGURES 138–144 , 149 View FIGURES 145–149 ). Vulva: internal ducts with FW mediad; GP conical, longer than wide, arising from ducts at first turn, anteriad; FD anteriad ( Figs 143–144 View FIGURES 138–144 , 149 View FIGURES 145–149 ).
Variation. Males (n = 10): total length 11.0–15.1; prosoma length 5.0–6.7; femur I length 7.9–11.0. Females (n = 10): total length 14.8–20.8; prosoma length 6.3–7.5; femur I length 8.0–9.1. Coloration pattern in males and females can be generally darker with opisthosoma showing no distinct pattern, except lighter heart mark.
Distribution. Central and southernAmazonia(Brazilian states ofAmazonas, Pará, Acre and Rondônia) ( Fig.318 View FIGURES 315–318 ).
