Loneura altaquerensis n. sp. Male
( Figs 29–33)
Diagnosis. Mesal lateral processes of the central sclerite of the hypandrium proximally broad, with margins converging to round apices ( Fig. 32). It differs from the other species in the group by the shape of the hypandrium and by the shape of the phallosome endophallic sclerites ( Fig. 33).
Color. Body light brown. Head light brown ( Fig. 31), with an ochre band from each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus and ocellar triangle; genae dark brown; postgenae light brown. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Postclypeus light brown, with posterior ochre area V–shaped; anteclypeus and labrum light brown. Maxillary palps light brown, Mx4 dark brown. Antennae light brown, flagellomeres 1–3 with apices cream. Thorax pale brown, pronotum and tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax pale brown. Legs light brown, tarsi 2–3 dark brown, fore- and middle coxae with ochre spot basally; femora with distal brown spots. Wings hyaline ( Figs 131, 132). Forewings ( Fig. 29) pterostigma with proximal and distal brown bands; veins light brown, with dark brown areolae in setal insertions, a dark brown spot on vein ends at wing margin. Hindwings ( Fig. 30) with a brown spot at vein ends. Abdomen light brown, clunium pale brown. Hypandrium light brown; epiproct and paraprocts cream. Phallosome brown, with endophallic sclerites dark brown.
Morphology. Head ( Fig. 31): H/MxW: 1.48; H/d: 3.85; IO/MxW: 0.75. Vertex at the same level as the upper border of the compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with four short and widely rounded denticles. Mx4/ Mx2: 1.12. Forewings ( Fig. 29): L/W: 2.58. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 4.43, areola postica tall, apically rounded: al/ah: 1.36, R4+5 sinuous, M five-branched, M5 forked. Hindwings ( Fig. 30): l/w: 2.88; M two-branched. Hypandrium ( Fig. 32): deeply cleft in the middle, posterior projections stout, blunt ended, each with a subapical macroseta on inner margin, mesal lateral processes broad, triangular. Phallosome V-shaped anteriorly, side struts slender; external parameres laminar, wide, apex rounded, bearing pores and sclerotized short teeth on the outer margins ( Fig. 33); four pairs of endophallic sclerites, anterior pair elongate, lateral sclerites wide, with concave margins, tapered, directed posteriorly; mesal pair wide basally, mesal sclerite processes distally curved outward, distally fused to posterior sclerite, tapered and apically curved outward. Paraprocts oval, with distal setal fields; sensory fields with 22–24 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct semioval, with short and long setae.
