Type species: Sonotetranychus daleae ( Tuttle and Baker, 1968) .
Diagnosis
The diagnosis is based on Tuttle et al. (1976) and Bolland et al. (1998). Propodosoma with three pairs of setae; hysterosoma with 10 pairs of setae, dorsum striated; dorsal setae setiform, two pairs of para-anal setae (h 2, h 3), two pairs of anal setae (ps 1, ps 2), tarsus I with two sets of duplex setae; tarsus II with one set of duplex setae, empodium a single claw-like structure, without proximoventral hairs, empodial claw much longer than pads of the true claws.
