Diagnosis. The genus is readily distinguished from related taxa by several diagnostic characters: white wings bearing straight grayish-brown transverse lines, an elongate forewing discal spot, hind wing tail on vein M 3 resembling a swallowtail, and an asymmetrical furca in the male genitalia ( Prout 1915; Inoue 1985; Cheng et al. 2024).
