Type: — CROATIA. Dalmatia: 3500 m E-SE from Skradin, right bank of Krka river in the area of Skradinski buk waterfalls, elev. 13 m, 43°48’22’’ N, 15°57’51’’ E, habitat: tufa barrier surrounded by Populus sp. , Fraxinus angustifolia , Platanus sp. and Ficus carica riparian vegetation, substratum: continuously wet tuffaceous sediment covered with mosses and scarcely covered with minute plant remnants, together with Trichophaea woolhopeia s. l., 30 November 2008, N. Matočec & I. Kušan, (holotype CNF 2/8079).

Etymology: —Specific epithet tophiseda (tophus = tufa, sedere = sitting) means “sitting” on a tuffaceous substrate.
