Additional description. Male. Head. Eye brIdge 2–3 facetS wIde. 4th flagellomere wIth l/w IndeX of 2.8, SlIghtly rough, haIrS aS long aS the dIameter. PalpuS 3-Segmented, all SegmentS long and SlIm, the Second Segment Shorter than fIrSt and thIrd; the fIrSt Segment wIth a few brIStleS and very Short brIStle-lIke SenSIllae. Labrum and proboScIS elongate, needle-lIke, two tImeS longer than the head hIgh. Thorax. Brown, aS well aS coXae and legS. Scutum wIth very Short haIrS, Some lateral brIStleS are longer. Scutellum wIth 2 Stronger and 2 Shorter margInal brIStleS, and Short haIrS on the Surface. PoSterIor pronotum bare, anterIor pronotum and prothoracal epISternIte wIth SparSe and fIne haIrS. WIngS brownISh; R1 = 2/3 R; c Shorter or equal w; y = 2 X, bare; CuA-Stem dIStInct, = X; poSterIor veInS dIStInct, wIthout macrotrIchIa. Haltere Short and brown. TIbIae wIth moderately long SpurS. ClawS wIthout teeth. Abdomen. The fIrSt four abdomInal tergIteS wIth rather long haIrS, the followIng wIth denSer haIrS and the SIXth tergIte wIth a denSe cluSter of brIStleS on the dIStal border. The ventral baSe of the hypopygIum IS v- Shaped, wIthout lobe or denSer brIStleS; the Inner margIn of gonocoXIteS wIth SparSe and rather Short haIrS; gonoStyluS rounded, on the outSIde wIth long and denSe haIrS; the Inner SIde concaved along the entIre length; at the tIp wIth two, more hyalIne SpIneS wIthIn Somewhat Shorter haIrS and a long whIplaSh haIr. The 9th SternIte IS bIlobated, wIth long lobeS. The tegmen IS wIde, apIcally StraIght and wIth a dIStInct area of fIne teeth. The aedeaguS IS Short. Body length: 3.5 mm.

Comments. ThIS partIcular SpecIeS IS characterIzed by a very long, needle-lIke mouth part, much longer than the head hIgh. The abdomInal tergIteS have long and denSe haIrS, the Seventh haS a denSe cluSter of brIStleS In the mIddle of the dIStal border and the outSIde of gonoStyluS bearS long brIStleS. ApIcal SpIneS are hyalIne. It IS SImIlar to Eugnoriste brevirostris . For dIfferenceS See there.
