This species is here newly recorded from China. It is widely distributed across the Holarctic from Sweden to Japan and Korea, south to Iran and Qatar, also Canada and northern USA as well as California. It can usually be distinguished by the presence of a hook-like claw associated with the fore tarsal pulvillus.

Specimens examined. CHINA: Sichuan Province, Mianyang county, Laohegou, Guaigou, 2 males on grasses, 22.vii.2012, Yang Shu-lan (in SCAU); Shaanxi Province, Yangling, 2 females, 1 male from flowers of unknown tree, 10.vii.2012, M. Mirab-balou (in ILAMU).
