Material examined. BRAZIL. Pará: Belém, Research Campus of Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, 1°27’06.5”S 48°26’38.8”W, 10.IX.2013, leg. F.S. Carvalho-Filho, reared from pupae (aggregation of cocoons) of Saturniidae (1 female); GoogleMaps Bragança, Ilha Canelas , oceanic side of the island, 0°47’06”S 46°43’41”W, 2–6.XI.1997, leg. I.S. Gorayeb, J.M.F. Ribeiro, W.P. Torres, N. Bittencourt, suspended trap at a height of 1,6 meters in the mangrove forests, (1 male and 1 female) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Brazil (Amazonas, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima), Nicaragua, Paraguay (San Bernadino).
Natural history. The analysed specimens were obtained from a large cocoon containing many pupae of Hylesia Hübner ( Saturniidae ) moth found in the wall of an abandoned building in the border of a secondary forest.
Remarks. This species is widely distributed in the Brazilian Amazon ( Marques et al. 2022), but had not previously been recorded from state of Pará.
