Harpyia morozovi Schintlmeister, 2013
Damata longipennis View in CoL f. roseata Gaede, 1930 ; 10: 651. Harpyia roseata ; Morozov, 2013; 22 (3): 183.
Harpyia morozovi Schintlmeister, 2013 ; 11: 194
.
TL: Darjeeling [West Bengal]; TD: ZMHU
Distribution: India: Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim, West Bengal, NE India, Tamil Nadu (?). Elsewhere: Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand.
Note: The species roseata was first described as a form of Damata longipennis Walker, 1855 by Gaede (1930) from Darjeeling. Later on Schintlmeister (2007) described a different subspecies roseata of Harpyia longipennis from Thailand. This subspecies was synonymized under Harpyia yunnanensis Schintlmeister & Fang, 2001 by Morozov (2013). In the same work, D. longipennis f. roseata Gaede, 1930 was raised to species level as H. roseata ( Gaede, 1930) . Further, in Schintlmeister (2013), this species was treated as a junior homonym of H. l. roseata Schintlmeister, 2007: 113 and replaced with H. morozovi .
