Type material. Holotype, male, " Laos, 15 km NW Louang Namtha, 21.07°N / 101.21°E, alt. 750 + 100 m, 13.­ 24. 5. 1997, E. Jendek & O. Šauša leg." ( LMBC).

Diagnosis. Dilophotes sausai sp. n. belongs to the group of dark coloured species with small, slender bodies. The dentate margin of lower plate of the internal sac is similar to D. bhutanensis sp. n., but unlike that species the dentate part is widely rounded as in D. sausai sp. n.

Description of holotype. Body medium sized, slender, black, pronotum light brown with brown pubescence, elytra brownish red, covered with red pubescence, each elytron with longitudinal infuscation in basal half. Head with short rostrum. Eyes small, interocular distance 1.43 times maximum eye diameter. Antennae slightly serrate. Maxillary palpi slender. Pronotum 1.33 times wider than long. Frontal margin widely rounded, frontal angles distinct, lateral margins concave, posterior angles slightly projected, posterior margin rounded. Pronotal disc with sharp, slender, longitudinal costa, rugose at frontal margin, shining at base, middle of disc dark brown, with light red pubescence. Elytra slender, flat, each elytron with three longitudinal costae. Costa 1 inconspicuous in apical quarter. Internal sac of male genitalia well sclerotized, lower plate with dentate, rounded margin ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 14 ­ 23 ).

Measurements. BL 6.0 mm, WH 1.32 mm, PL 0.82 mm, PW 1.1 mm, Ediam 0.35 mm, Edist 0.51 mm.

Distribution. Dilophotes sausai sp. n. is known only from the type locality in northernmost Laos.

Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym in honour of Ondrej Šauša, a collector of the species.
