Neodocalidia connectiva sp. nov.

Length. Male 7.50 mm. Female unknown.

Characters of external morphology, color and male genitalia as in description of genus ( Plate 1B; Figures 9– 16).

Material examined. Holotype male. COLOMBIA: Vaupés, R.N. Mosiro-Itajura (Capari), Centro Ambiental , 1º4’S – 69º3’W, 60 m., Red 1/20/03–2/1/03, M. Sharkey y D. Arias, Leg., M. 3387 ( IAHC).

Etymology. The name is descriptive for the unusual configuration of the connective.

Remarks. This species unique and has no known relatives.
