Length. Male 8.00 mm., female unknown.

External morphology. Moderately large, slender species. General color dark brown to black and yellow; forewings with clavus black, yellow stripe on each side; scutellum black, basal angeles yellow; pronotum and crown yellow; eyes translucent ( Plate 2C View PLATE 2 ); face yellow with brown longitudinal stripe on lateral margins. Head narrower than pronotum, anterior margin broadly rounded; crown broader than width of eyes, produced anteriorly about ¼ of entire length, disk flat, lateral margins nearly parallel; eyes large, semiglobular; pronotum as long as median length of crown, surface bullated; mesonotum large, nearly twice as long as pronotum; forewings long, broad, 3 anteapical cells present, outer one closed; clypeus long, broad, lateral margins broadly convex, longitudinal carina faint; clypellus about 1/3 as long as clypeus, narrow, apex expanded.

Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view triangulate, tuft of setae on caudodorsal margin ( Fig. 85 View FIGURES 85–92 ); subgenital plate very long, narrow, setaceous in dista1/3 ( Fig. 86 View FIGURES 85–92 ); style very long, about as long as aedeagus, apophysis twisted subapically ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 85–92 ); aedeagus long, narrow, tubular throughout, shaft expanded subapically in dorsal view, gonopore medial, exiting lateral in lateral view; ( Figs. 89, 90 View FIGURES 85–92 ) connective broadly y-shaped, membrane very narrow between arms, stem short, bulbous apically ( Fig. 91 View FIGURES 85–92 ); dorsal connective long, base broad in dorsal view (92).

Etymology. The name is descriptive for the twisted stylar apophysis.

Remarks. This species is unique with its unusual twisted style ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 85–92 ) which will separate it from all other known species in the genus.
