Material examined: 1♀ brachypterous, China, Hebei, Chengde / Pingquan / 1986 VII 02, Zhang, XC / Ent. Mus. CAU , Beijing // Aradus distinctus Fieber / det. E. Heiss 2009 ( CAU) .
This species is distributed from Central and SE Europe to Ukraine; the record from the Asian part of Kasachstan is not confirmed ( Heiss 2001b). If not accidentally introduced, this specimen represents the easternmost record and needs further confirmation.
Aradus komarowii Jakovlev 1885 (syn. hissaricus Kiritshenko 1913) recorded from Tadjikistan and Turkmenistan, is the closest related taxon sharing similar habitus, colouration of antennae, and basic structures of male genitalia; however, komarowii is of a larger size and has a longer antennal segment II and shows some differences in colouration and outline of parameres (see Heiss 2007b: 232 ( distinctus ) and Heiss 2004: 3 ( komarowii ).
