Nesting. The specimens of W. (C.) algoensis View in CoL in the Albany Museum are from coastal bush, Port Elizabeth, Kentonon-Sea and from coastal dunes at Riet River Mouth. None of the specimens were from snail shells, however, it seems likely that this species, like W. (C.) elizabethae View in CoL , nests in snail shells.
