Comments. Despite being collected widely in SE Asia, the sole Australian sample of this species remains the one collected by Jon Martin in 1996 from North Queensland. Readers are referred to a more complete account of this species made by Martin (1999). This distinctive pale species has a characteristic arrangement of dorsal glandular spines and the venter has a distinctive submarginal ring of patterning that consists of a row of four or five circular macules. This species is closely related to A. sapindus sp. n. which differs by having a few more dorsal spines and some dark colouration medially in the abdomen.
