Material examined. Site 6 (a: 10 ♂, 2 ♀; b: 1 ♂, 8 ♀), Site 6 (a: 1 ♀; b: 2 ♀).

Distribution. Europe, Russia, Japan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Algeria (Komnenov, 2014). Chorotype. Palearctic.

Remarks. The identification was based on Grimm (1986). Taxonomic drawings of this species are here provided for comparison to the newly described Phrurolithus species. Males of P. festivus are distinguished from other congeners by the large tibial apophysis with narrowing end ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 75 – 78 ) and the absence of median apophysis ( Fig 76 View FIGURES 75 – 78 ), while females are distinguished by the V-shaped epigynal sclerotization ( Figs 77–78 View FIGURES 75 – 78 ).
