Length. Male: 4.1mm.

Light brown. Vertex light yellow with six small, dark brown marks on anterior margin, brown longitudinal band midway between eye and midline on each side (Plate III: E); frontoclypeus with fuscous arcs. Pronotum light yellow with six brown longitudinal stripes (Plate III: E). Legs marked with dark brown. Forewing cells bordered fuscous (Plate III: E).

Forewing macropterous, inner anteapical cell open basally.

Male genitalia. Subgenital plate long, subtriangular, lateral margin almost straight, apex acute ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24. M F); style, preapical lobe short and sharply angled, apophysis with preapical heel, laterally curved ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24. M E); connective slightly longer than aedeagus, aedeagal shaft in lateral view broad basally, abruptly tapered at midlength to slim apex ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24. M C, 24D).

Material examined. Holotype: ɗ, China, Fujian Prov., Shouning, 30 July 2003, coll. Duan Yani ( NWAFU).

Additional material. One female with data: China, Fujian Prov., Nanping, 6 August 2003, coll. Duan Yani ( NWAFU).

Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the abruptly tapered shaft at midlength ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24. M C, 24D). The additional specimen is tentatively identified as this species. The hind margin of its seventh sternum has a distinctive v-shape median excavation (see Plate IV: I).

Etymology. The name of this species is based on the beaklike shape of the aedeagus in lateral view.
