Diagnosis. Males of this species similar to G. esyunini Marusik et al., 2014 , G. jucunda Thorell, 1875 and G. khovdensis Marusik et al., 2014 , but can be separated from the two later species by much stronger median apophysis and twice longer embolus. From G. esyunini it differs by lack of large embolic spine directed prolaterally. Females of G. rasnitsyni resemble G. muscorum (L. Koch, 1866) and G. similis Kulczyński, 1926 , but can be differed through heart-like shape of fovea and by the pocket of the scape as long as wide. Endogyne of G. rasnitsyni differs from those of sibling species by receptacles spread horizontally and insemination ducts shifted anteriorly.

Description. For description of male see Fomichev et al. (2013); for description of female see Marusik (1993) and Marusik & Omelko (2014).

Distribution. Recorded in Khovd, Bayankhongor and Central Aimags of Mongolia.

Comments. Gnaphosa ustyuzhanini was known by three males from two localities, the Arshantyn-Nuruu Mt. Range and upper reaches of Uenchyin-Gol (=Uenč gol) belonging to Mongolian Altai. Fomichev et al. (2013) suggested that this species may be conspecific with G. rasnitsyni , known only from females from the adjacent Gobi Altai. We collected numerous specimens of Gnaphosa from several localities composed of both sexes, wherein males match with G. ustyuzhanini and females corresponding to G. rasnitsyni . This led us to the conclusion that they are conspecific.
