Type material. CHINA: Yunnan Province: Holotype male, Nujiang Prefecture, Lushui County, Pianma Port , 26°00.745′ N, 98°37.792′ E, elev. 1987 m, 8 September 2013, X.W. Meng & Z.X. Li leg. ( SWUC). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific name is combined by ‘ bi -’ and ‘ apophysis ’, referring the male palpal tibia with two apophyses ( Figs 1F–G View FIGURES 1 , 2B–C View FIGURES 2 ); term in apposition.

Diagnosis. Males of the new species are similar to those of H. zhui Zhang & Chen, 2015 in having the spinelike LTA near dorsum of tibia and tegular setae proximally, but can be distinguished from the latter by the patellar apophysis much more strongly curved and pointed, RTA relatively short, not close to LTA in retrolateral view, tegulum unmodified, tegular setae located submarginally near prolatero-proximal margin ( Figs 1E–G View FIGURES 1 , 2A–C View FIGURES 2 ).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.78. Prosoma 1.28 long, 0.94 wide; Opisthosoma 1.42 long, 0.91 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.10, PME 0.08, PLE 0.09; AME–AME 0.02, AME–ALE 0.01, PME–PME 0.07, PME–PLE 0.03, ALE–PLE 0.01. MOA 0.18 long, front width 0.12, back width 0.25. Clypeus height 0.15. Chelicerae with stridulatory files laterally ( Figs 1C–D View FIGURES 1 ), 3 promarginal, 5 retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 4.13 (1.17, 1.39, 0.86, 0.71); II 3.89 (1.08, 1.29, 0.82, 0.70); III 3.51 (0.94, 1.11, 0.83, 0.63); IV 4.50 (1.22, 1.46, 1.05, 0.78). Leg formula: 4123. Spiracle long and transverse, distance of spiracle to epigastric furrow as long as to spinnerets ( Fig. 1B View FIGURES 1 ).

Male palpal patella with a hook-like apophysis. Tibia with a moderately short RTA extending dorsally and then proximally. Embolus originating retrolatero-proximally, tip of embolus situated near the base of membranous median apophysis, slightly extending beyond apex of cymbial furrow. Cymbial furrow deep and slightly longer than half of cymbium ( Figs 1E–G View FIGURES 1 , 2A–C View FIGURES 2 ).
