Species was previously unknown from the Korean Peninsula.

Diagnostic features. Grayish brown species. Body length of male about 12 mm, wing length 12.6–13.3 mm. Prescutum semi-polished with three distinct longitudinal dark brown stripes. Median stripe with indistinct grayish brown longitudinal line extending along its entire length. Lateral stripe starts behind prescutal pit and extends onto scutal lobe. Abdominal tergites semi-polished, dark brown with narrowly grayish posterior margins and covered with grayish pruinosity. Second to fourth tergites with obscure yellow fronto-lateral spots. First sternite obscure yellow with slightly infuscated distal portion and grayish posterior margin. Second sternite light brown frontally and turning dark brown distally. Remaining sternites dark brown with narrow grayish posterior margins. Paramere of male genitalia ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 6 – 11 ) with straight margin apically, inner margin densely setose.

Elevation range. Altitudes from slightly above 1500 m to nearly 1700 m in North Korea.

Period of activity. Adults are flying from mid-July to early August.

Habitat. Adults are flying among old deciduous trees, where larvae develop under bark and in mushrooms.

General distribution. Species is widely spread in Eastern and Western Palearctic.
