Africa south of the Sahara; a rather rare savanna species known from Ghana ( Ragge & Roy 1967; Roy & Leston 1975), and recorded in Ivory Coast at Lamto and Bouaké ( Gillon & Roy 1968; Roy 1975); less opportunistic than Idolomorpha lateralis in colonizing new habitats.
